John’s goal is to help people feel better through movement. As a kid he loved running. Remember that kid in gym class that liked running laps? Yep, he’s that guy. However, through all the years running track and cross country no one ever taught him how to crosstrain, how to exercise or resistance train. This left him skinny and weak. He could literally run 50 miles but could barely muster a few push ups. He could run straight and far but couldn’t cut and had no speed. He embarked on a mission to gain strength and muscle and absorbed as much knowledge as possible. As he gained strength and muscle he became more confident and wanted to help others find the confidence and energy he had found and that is what led him to start Gillham Fitness.
With over 12 years of experience and thousands of hours of clinical training under his belt his approach is guaranteed to get you results and get you feeling great too!
He has certifications from NASM, TRX, CHEK, GOATA and Fascial Fitness among others and loves staying up to date on the latest research and fitness education.
John’s training style won’t leave you feeling beaten up. In fact it will leave you feeling better than you have in years. Training sessions use a combination of resistance training tools (weights, bands, bodyweight, TRX) and functional locomotive patterns to make the most out of every minute of training.
